From this evening Armenians will stop travelling through Lachin
Baku/30.08.22/Turan: From 8 p.m. on August 30, Armenians will stop driving through Lachin. From then on they will use the new road, which was built by the Azerbaijani side to bypass Lachin. Karabakh separatist leaders announced this, confirming that Russian peacekeepers have already relocated to guard the new route.
It should be recalled that the total length of the new road is 32 kilometers, 22 kilometers of which go through the territory of Azerbaijan, and this part was handed over 10 days ago. However, 10 km on the territory of Armenia will be ready in another six months. For this reason, the Azerbaijani side built an additional 4.7 km of asphalt road, which Armenians can use to reach the existing dirt road in Armenia. -0-
