"Gazprom Media" liquidated "Ekho Moskvy" radio station
Baku/03.03.22/Turan: The board of directors of "Ekho Moskvy" decided to liquidate the radio station and website. "Ekho Moskvy" editor-in-chief Aleksey Venediktov said so in his Telegram channel, lenta.ru reported.
"The "Ekho Moskvy" board of directors decided by a majority vote to liquidate the radio station and the "Ekho Moskvy" website," he wrote.
On March 1, the Prosecutor General's Office demanded that access to "Ekho Moskvy" radio station be restricted because it spread "false information about actions of the Russian military as a part of the special operation in Ukraine."
After that, the radio station was disconnected from the airwaves and the website was blocked.
