Baku / 12.07.17 / Turan: On July 11 Ilham Aliyev dismissed Major-General Novruzali Orujov from the post of deputy head of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription.

The reason for dismissal is not specified. However, according to media reports, the General was dismissed for the hooliganism committed by his son Rustam Orujov. In turn, the Prosecutor General's Office reported the arrest of Orujov.

On July 3, 2017, in a BMW car with a 10-OG-300 state number, Orujov roughly broke the rules of the road. When the driver of a bus No. 8 Senan Samedov criticized him, the General's son began to pursue the passenger bus, which caused a panic among the passengers. Moreover, before the eyes of the people, Rustam Orujov, along with other persons, beat the bus driver, causing him bodily injuries.

A criminal case was opened in the Binagadi district prosecutor's office under article 221.2.1 (hooliganism committed by a group of persons). With respect to Rustam Orujov, a court decision on the measure of restraint in the form of arrest was chosen.

As the Prosecutor General's Office notes, Rustam Orujov also committed an accident in 2014, which led to the death of a pedestrian, and fled the scene of the incident. However, he was detained and sentenced to 4 years. In 2016, Orujov was released on parole, and committed a new crime during the period of serving a conditional sentence. -03D-
