Georgian President and Defense Minister of Azerbaijan discussed regional security
Tbilisi/30.05.14/Turan-BSPRESS: Georgia’s President Georgi Margvelashvili and Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov spoke for deepening bilateral relations in the sphere of military- technical cooperation. This is stated in the message of the administration of the head of the Georgian state.
The sides also touched issues of regional security, in particular the need to ensure the safety of energy and transport infrastructure. To this end, the parties discussed the issues of planning and conducting joint exercises of military units of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia.
It was noted that the issue of trilateral cooperation in various areas was discussed during the trilateral summit in Tbilisi. -02D-

On November 15, a grand ceremony was held in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, where Jale Bayramova, the daughter of Professor Gubad Ibadoglu, was honored with the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Award. She received the “Outstanding Young Human Rights Defender” award for her advocacy on behalf of her father. Jale Bayramova is the first Azerbaijani to receive the Global Magnitsky Award.

On November 15, animal rights activist Kamran Mammadli was detained while staging a protest at the COP29 climate conference. Mammadli was protesting the shooting of street dogs in Azerbaijan. He raised a sign above his head that read: "Azerbaijani authorities are shooting dogs on the streets!" He also shouted: "Resign those who teach youth to be sycophants under the guise of volunteerism!"
