German Ambassador’s Trip to Ganja
The German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Michael Kindsgrab visited the city of Ganja. As a source from the embassy told Turan, the purpose of the visit was acquaintance with the economic potential of the former capital of Azerbaijan and with the living conditions of refugees and IDPs.
The Ambassador met with the Head of Ganja Executive Power Elmar Valiyev, and discussed the economic and political processes in the city. The German diplomat became familiar with the winemaking and car plants of Ganja and visited Agricultural University in the city. He exchanged views with the graduate students of the university that studied in Germany on an exchange program.
The Ambassador also familiarized with the living conditions of internally displaced persons. He visited the camp of IDPs from Kelbajar, where 1,400 people are located, and held a meeting with the chief executive of the Kelbajar district Aghil Mammadov. The German Ambassador presented the students footballs from the Football Federation of Germany.
Michael Kindsgrab has held the position of Ambassador of Germany to Azerbaijan from August 2016. As part of the diplomatic mission, the Ambassador visits regions of the country. -16d04-
