Greek Foreign Minister Arrives in Baku (Updated)
The Foreign Minister of Greece Nikos Kotzias arrived in Baku on an official visit on February 2, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.
On February 2 Kotzias will meet with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. Following the meeting, there will be a press conference.
The program of the visit, as well as the agenda of the talks, has not been announced. In turn, the Greek Foreign Ministry said that on February 3 a meeting will be held between Kotzias and the Parliament Speaker Oktay Asadov, and then with President Ilham Aliyev.
Next, the Foreign Minister of Greece will be received by the Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Azerbaijani-Greek Intergovernmental Commission Natig Aliyev.
On February 7, the Greek Minister together with the Prime Minister Tsipras will visit Iran, according to the same source.
From the above it can be concluded that the main focus of the talks of the Greek minister in Baku will be energy issues, namely, issues of the TAP gas pipeline construction, as well as Azerbaijan's participation in the privatization of Greece's energy infrastructure. -02D-

On January 15, the Tbilisi Court of Appeals rejected the appeal of Afghan Sadigov, the founder of the Azel TV website, who had protested his extradition to Azerbaijan. On January 15, the Yasamal District Court rejected the motion to change the detention measure for Azer Gasymly, the director of the Institute of Political Management, his lawyer, Agyl Laidj, to Turan. "Azer Gasymly stated during the trial that the charges against him were fabricated and related to his socio-political activities," the lawyer said. An appeal will be filed against the court's decision.
