Head of OSCE meets with civil society in Azerbaijan (UPDATED)
Swiss President and OSCE Chairman Didier Burkhalter who is on visit in Baku met with opposition leaders and representatives of NGOs.
The meeting was attended by the leader of the "Musavat" Isa Gambar ; chairman of the Popular Front Party Ali Kerimli; chairman of the National Council Jamil Hasanli; executive director of the REAL Movement Jafarli Natiq ; board member of the Movement NİDA Panjalieva Aygun; director of the Institute of Reporters Freedom and Safety Emin Huseynov ; and coordinator of the Human Rights House Shahla Ismayilova.
According to Turan , Isa Gambar , the meeting lasted for more than an hour, the sides exchanged views on issues of democracy, human rights, political prisoners , the electoral process, and pressure on civil society. -03D04-

OSCE Chairman-in-office, Swiss President Didier Burkhalter, arrived on July 1 in Azerbaijan within the framework of a regional visit to the South Caucasus countries.
During his visit to Baku, Burkhalter will hold meetings with the Azerbaijani leadership. The subjects of the talks will be the Karabakh conflict resolution, cooperation of Azerbaijan with the OSCE and other issues.
From Baku the OSCE head will go to Yerevan and then to Tbilisi. -16D-
