Head of the Armenian General Staff on territorial losses on September 12-14
Baku/16.09.22/Turan: The Azerbaijani Armed Forces advanced 7.5 km deep into the territory of Armenia in the Jermuk region, Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Edward Asryan said at a briefing for foreign ambassadors in Jermuk.
According to him, the Azerbaijani forces in this direction “ended with some success”, because they penetrated into the territory of Armenia with a front width of 8.5 km and a depth of up to 7.5 km, Asryan said.
At the moment, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces are at a distance of 4.5 km from Jermuk. According to him, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces moved forward in small and separate groups. "Some of them are surrounded by the Armenian Armed Forces." According to him, until September 12, the Azerbaijani military were 11-12 kilometers from Jermuk.
Asryan also said that the Azerbaijanis advanced 1.5 km in the direction of Nerkin And and Verin Shorzha, and 0.5 km in the direction of Ishkhanasar. A number of Armenian positions came under the control of Azerbaijani forces, he acknowledged.
