Health of Leyla continues to deteriorate
The health of the arrested human rights activist Leyla Yunus continues to deteriorate: she is suffering from the loss of sight in her left eye a complete depletion of the body, and medicine do not help, said her lawyer Elchin Gambarov. "Those who could see Leyla Yunus today, would be horrified with her painful, pale, emaciated face," said the lawyer.
Despite the measures taken by doctors of the Prison Service, restoring health under the jail conditions is not possible.
Why do they keep her in custody? Do they wait for her death? Is not there enough headache for the authorities with her arrest, said the lawyer.
International Campaign for Yunus does not work, but creates problems to the authorities. Is not it better to put an end to this, change the preventive measure for this ill old woman? Such an act of humanity, will cause a feeling of gratitude in public, said Elchin Gambarov. -02D-
