Hikmet Hajiyev: Refusal of flour from Azerbaijan is racism and discrimination
Baku/31.08.23/Turan: The presence of a gray zone on the territory of Azerbaijan is not acceptable, Baku will never accept the existence of a separatist illegal regime which must be liquidated and disarmed.
This was stated by the assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev to journalists on the Aghdam-Khankandi road.
"This road is the shortest and most convenient way to supply the Armenians of Karabakh, and foreign diplomats who have arrived here can see this with their own eyes. The refusal of the illegal regime in Karabakh to accept 40 tons of flour from Azerbaijan is nothing but a manifestation of racism and discrimination," Hajiyev said.
By opening this road, Azerbaijan is ready to begin the process of reintegration of Karabakh Armenians, guaranteeing their rights, security, as well as their obligations under national legislation. However, the ruling military junta in Karabakh and Armenia are turning the issue of the road into a subject of political manipulation and speculation, Hajiyev continued.
The manifestation of this was an attempt to deliver various cargoes through Lachin without the consent of Baku. Another example of this was the arrival of mayors of French cities to the Azerbaijani border, which became a "theatrical show".
He repeated that the Lachin road can be opened 24 hours after the opening of the Aghdam-Khankandi road. "However, entry to Lachin will be carried out in accordance with the border and customs regimes of Azerbaijan. Baku cannot allow weapons, mines, and other prohibited goods to be transported along this road," Hajiyev stressed. -21B-
