Baku / 13.06.18 / Turan: The Sheki appellate court today decided to conditionally release the leader of the REAL party Ilgar Mammadov.
The court decided to replace his remaining real term of imprisonment by conditional punishment with a 2-year probation period and a ban on leaving the country.
It should be reminded that the "main" political prisoner of Azerbaijan Ilgar Mammadov was arrested in February 2013 in connection with Ismayilli events and sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment.
The European Court took two decisions on the illegality of his arrest, but to this day the authorities ignored their implementation. -16B-
