Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin Discuss Karabakh Settlement by Phone

Baku / 02.04.19 / Turan: Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday, the presidential press service reports.

Ilham Aliyev shared his assessment of his meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, which was held in Vienna on March 29.

Vladimir Putin stressed the importance of intensifying the negotiation process between Baku and Yerevan. Russia"s readiness to continue to assist in the search for a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, particularly in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group, was expressed.

In discussing issues on the bilateral agenda, a mutual disposition was confirmed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

Earlier, Pashinyan also informed Putin about the results of the Vienna meeting. -06D--
