Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev embarked on a visit to Karabakh, making several significant stops on the morning of July 5. His first destination was the airport in Khojaly.
President then traveled to Khankendi, where he participated in the opening ceremonies of the renovated Palace and Karabakh hotels. During his visit, he also laid the foundation for the Khankendi Congress Center and reviewed the progress at Karabakh University.
The head of state continued his tour in Khankendi with the opening of the Karabakh Hotel after major repairs and restoration.
Later in the day, Aliyev visited the Shusha district, where he inaugurated the Isa Bulagi recreational complex. In Shusha, he also took part in the openings of the Public Services Center, the restored Ashagi Govhar Agha Mosque, and the Shusha complex of water treatment facilities, all following significant restoration efforts.
President Aliyev's visit to Karabakh comes on the eve of the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States, set to take place in Shusha on July 5-6. The summit will see the participation of the heads of state from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and the Prime Minister of Hungary.
