Baku / 14.02.20 / Turan: On Thursday, President Ilham Aliyev received EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar.
The head of state’s website informed that at the meeting the situation around the negotiations on the Karabakh conflict, as well as issues of energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU were discussed.
In particular, the importance of EU participation at the meeting in Baku of the Advisory Council on the Southern Gas Corridor to be held at the end of this month was noted. -02D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
