Ilham Aliyev Received Personal Envoy of Ramzan Kadyrov
On Thursday the head of state Ilham Aliyev received the Russian State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, the Personal Envoy of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
According to official information, during the conversation, Aliyev said that Azerbaijan is watching the development process in Chechnya with interest. He also noted bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Chechnya, which contributes to the strengthening of relations with Russia.
From the message the goal of Delimkhanov’s visit does not become clear. It is known that the Chechen leaders have business interests in Azerbaijan and have invested in a number of projects. It is possible that the aim is Delimkhanov’s desire or plans to expand the existing investments. Anyway, the head of state is unlikely to personally receive an ordinary member of the Russian parliament. -02D-
