Ilham Aliyev Received President of Bulgaria
The head of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev, who arrived in Baku on a visit to attend the closing ceremony of the first European Games.
Aliyev said that some people were pessimistic about the idea of the European Games and talked about the uselessness of such competitions. "We decided that the standard of these Games should be as high as possible. Now everyone sees that it is the standard of Olympic Games," Aliyev said.
During the meeting, they expressed satisfaction with the high level of the bilateral relations and noted the presence of good opportunities for the further development of relations in political, economic, energy, healthcare and other areas.
Note that Plevneliev was the only President of the EU, who arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the closing ceremony of the European Games. -06D-
