Ilham Aliyev received Russian Deputy Prime Minister Rogozin
On 19 June Ilham Aliyev received a Russian delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.
The Head of State stressed that the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia successfully develop. During the meeting Aliyev noted the successful cooperation in the military-technical sphere, "which brings results and has good prospects."
The Head of State noted the contribution of Dmitry Rogozin, as Co-President of the Russian-Azerbaijani Commission, to further strengthening relations between the two countries.
Dmitry Rogozin said that the Russian side has respect to the relations with the Azerbaijani people and state, and expressed confidence that the cooperation with Azerbaijan will continue to expand. He assured that as Co-President of the Russian-Azerbaijani Commission he will make every effort in this direction.
The meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission will be held June 20. -02D-

On January 21, the Baku Serious Crimes Court continued the trial of the Abzas Media case. The court heard testimony from the director of the publication, Ulvi Hasanly, who rejected the charges against him. Hasanly stated that Abzas Media was engaged in investigations into corruption at the highest levels of government, covering societal issues, and defending citizens' rights. He believes that these activities provoked the authorities' anger towards the journalists.
