Ilham Aliyev Received the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Uruguay and the Foreign Minister of Gambia
President Ilham Aliyev yesterday received the Chairman of the House of Representatives of Uruguay Herman Cardoso.
Cardoso noted the potential for the development of relations between the two countries in political, economic, trade, tourism, agriculture and other areas.
The sides also exchanged views on issues of peace in the Karabakh conflict.
It should be noted that in recent times the official Baku has raised attention to the development of relations with Uruguay, where there is traditionally strong Armenian lobby in order to neutralize its efforts to support the position of Armenia in the Karabakh issue.
Yesterday the head of state received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Gambia Susan Waffen-Ogun. -06D-
