Baku/16.09.19/Turan: The activities in Azerbaijan of a large number of small and medium enterprises in Turkey contribute to the development of economic cooperation. Commodity turnover between the two countries increased by 20 percent and exceeded $3 billion, stated Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay today in a meeting in Baku with the head of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
In turn, Aliyev expressed his conviction that the eighth meeting of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation in Baku, for which Fuad Oktay arrived, would have fruitful results.
Fuad Oktay also conveyed congratulations on the 101st anniversary of the liberation of Baku from foreign interventionists. The Turkish Vice President thanked the President of Azerbaijan for the abolition of the visa regime for Turkish citizens. This will give impetus to development in the field of tourism and business.
