Ilham Aliyev Receives PACE Co-rapporteurs
President Ilham Aliyev received the co-rapporteurs of the PACE Monitoring Committee Caesar Florin Preda and Stephen Shennack.
According to the President's website, the guests noted the "successful development" of cooperation between the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan. They welcomed the recent acts of pardon and amnesty in Azerbaijan.
Aliyev, for his part, noted that for many years Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe carried out a constructive and effective cooperation and expressed satisfaction at its current level.
According to Aliyev, this relationship will continue to develop successfully.
During the meeting the issues of Karabakh conflict settlement were discussed.
The co-rapporteurs arrived on a three-day visit. In addition to talks with the officials, they will also meet with representatives of civil society and the media. -06D--
