On Monday, President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Evelyn Farkas, the Adviser to the Minister of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia.
During the meeting, it was stressed that the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States are developing successfully in a variety of ways, including in the field of defense, the importance of participation of Azerbaijani troops in the international peacekeeping mission was noted.
The sides exchanged views on further expanding cooperation in this area.
On July 1, Aliyev received Filippo Lombardi, President of the Council of the Federal Assembly of the cantons of the Swiss Confederation. During the meeting the sides exchanged views on expanding ties in energy, investment, inter-parliamentary cooperation in other spheres.—06D--

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
