Ilham Aliyev: The officials torture citizens, but salvation is in ASAN
Social reforms in Azerbaijan will continue, promised President Ilham Aliyev, opening Tuesday meeting on economic issues and the budget for 2016.
"We will continue institutional reforms related to social policy. In the field of regulation of the drugs we have reached a serious turn. After September 15 every Azerbaijani will feel it: we achieved a decrease in drug prices on average two or three times," Ilham Aliyev said.
He further noted the need to deepen reforms in governance, and the fight against corruption should be more serious.
"Recently the service "ASAN" was given new functions. Every citizen of Azerbaijan is aware of the state of housing and communal services, illegal demands. Now it will be easier," Aliyev promised.
He further told about serious violations in the transport sector, obstacles that people face, and unreasonable demands. "We have passed part of the sphere to ASAN Service." In the future, there should be ASAN standards in every sphere, he said. -02D-
