Ilham Aliyev: we will stop fire if Armenians remain in place
Azerbaijan is ready to cease fire if the Armenian side will respect the ceasefire, said today the president Ilham Aliyev during his visit to the soldiers wounded in the fighting in Karabakh. "We are for the continuation of negotiations, but on the condition that the Armenian leadership is aware of their mistakes and will behave honestly at the negotiating table. Then, I am sure, there is a possibility for a peaceful solution to the issue," he said. "Azerbaijan today declares a unilateral cease of all military operations, but under the condition that the enemy did not use it. Let them stop and remain in their places," Aliyev said. In recent days, the Armenians keep under fire the Azerbaijani villages, there are victims among the civilian population, up to 300 homes have been destroyed, he said. "Restoration of the territorial integrity of our country is the sacred duty of every citizen of Azerbaijan. The territorial integrity of our country has never been and never will be a subject of negotiations," Aliyev said in conclusion and praised the actions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the recent fighting in Karabakh. -02D-
