Ilham Aliyev will pay a state visit to Tajikistan

Baku/04.04.23/Turan: On April 5, Head of State Ilham Aliyev will pay a state visit to Tajikistan, the press service of the President of Tajikistan reported. he will meet  President Emomali Rahmon.

The parties will discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation in various fields. Then the negotiations will be held with the participation of the delegations of the two countries. As a result, it is planned to sign a number of documents on cooperation. In conclusion, the presidents will make a statement to the media. In the evening of the same day, Aliyev will return to Baku.

The Tajik-Azerbaijani investment forum  will open on the eve of Ilham Aliyev's visit to Dushanbe.

The participation of the heads of ministries and departments, entrepreneurs from various sectors of the economy of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan is expected.

The forum will present investment opportunities in tourism, industry, energy, services and other areas. New documents on cooperation between the subjects of the public and private sectors of the two countries will be signed.

According to the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Tajik-Azerbaijani trade turnover in 2022 amounted to $6.2 million, which is 0.1% of the total foreign trade turnover of Tajikistan. 

About 95% of the bilateral trade turnover is accounted for by imports of Azerbaijani goods by Tajikistan. ---02D---
