Ilham Aliyev"s meeting with the leaders of European states
Baku/30.11.13/Turan : As part of the Vilnius summit the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with President of France, Francois Hollande.
During the meeting was expressed satisfaction with development of bilateral cooperation in the political , economic, energy and cultural fields, according to the site of the President of Azerbaijan. It was noted that French companies are successfully operating in Azerbaijan and expressed confidence in further expansion of this activity.
The meeting stressed the mutual interest in expanding bilateral ties, noting the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and France within the European Union.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
In addition, during his stay in Vilnius Aliyev met with British Prime Minister, David Cameron; Spanish Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy Bray; Head of Government of Estonia, Andrus Ansipl Latvian President, Andris Berzins; Prime Minister of Lithuania, Algirdas Butkyavichyus.—06В--

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
