In 10 years the countries of the South Caucasus will be integrated - Ilham Aliyev
Baku/29.04.22/Turan: Representatives of Azerbaijan and Armenia may hold a meeting in Brussels in early May, announced on Friday the President Ilham Aliyev, speaking in Baku at the conference "South Caucasus: development and cooperation." If relations between Baku and Yerevan are normalized, new opportunities will open up for Armenia. Azerbaijan has good relations with all its neighbors and would like the same relations with Armenia, he noted.
“At the same time, Azerbaijan does not want a new war and it must protect itself from new revanchist risks from Armenia,” Aliyev added. He expressed hope that the European Union would take over the mediation mission instead of the OSCE Minsk Group. "We consider the European Union an honest actor and welcome its mediation efforts, which can play a role in the process of normalizing relations," he said.
In the next 10 years, Azerbaijan will become even stronger and there is hope that the problems with Armenia will be resolved. During this time, the South Caucasus region will be fully integrated and close cooperation between the three countries will be established, there are all opportunities for this, Aliyev said. -02D-
