Baku/19.10.23/Turan: The Israel Defense Forces published an intercepted conversation between two Hamas militants. They discuss that the rocket that hit the hospital in Gaza was launched by Palestinians.

An audio fragment of an intercepted conversation between two Hamas militants published on social networks. Both interlocutors speak Arabic, their speech is translated into English with subtitles.

— I'm telling you, this is the first time we've seen such a rocket fall, and that's why we say it's a rocket of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

- Is it from us?

- It looks like this.

- Who says that?

- They say that the shrapnel from the rocket is local and unlike Israeli shrapnel

- My God, it couldn't find another place to explode?

- They launched it from the cemetery behind the hospital. It didn't work and fell on the hospital.

- Is there a cemetery there?

- Yes, just in this area.

In addition, the Israel Defense Forces published a video of the area around the hospital before and after the strike. The footage shows the parking lot at the hospital, and there are burnt—out cars on it. The caption in the video explains that this is the place of the explosion after the missile hit. The video also shows shrapnel on the roof of the hospital.

The next frame shows for comparison the crater remaining from the rocket impact. There are no visible traces of the crater on the territory of the hospital. According to the Israeli military, there was no direct hit of the rocket into the hospital.

The rocket attack on the Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza was carried out the night before. The Ministry of Health of the Palestinian Authority almost immediately after the strike reported 500 dead. Later, the Al Arabiya TV channel said that the death toll reached 800 people.

IDF (Israel Defense Forces) spokesman Daniel Hagari said at a briefing on Wednesday that the day before at 18:59 about 10 rockets were launched by Islamic Jihad from the cemetery behind the hospital. "Hamas has decided to launch a global media campaign to hide what really happened. They even went so far as to exaggerate the number of victims," Hagari said. ---02D---
