Baku/02.11.23/Turan: Eight Azerbaijanis are planned to be taken out of the Gaza Strip, the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Ayhan Hajizade, told the Azerbaijani service of "Voice of America." It is not reported who these people are, how they ended up there and what their citizenship is.
Todat only one checkpoint between Gaza and Egypt is partially operational - Rafah. However, after the outbreak of hostilities on October 7, Egypt closed this checkpoint. The day before, there were reports that the Egyptian authorities had agreed to allow only foreign citizens to pass through Rafah.
