Baku/24.10.23/Turan: On October 24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the special representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, Igor Khovaev.
The prospects for the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the current situation and recent developments in the region, as well as the results of the meeting held in Tehran within the framework of the “3+3” regional platform were discussed at the meeting.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Bayramov noted that after Azerbaijan has fully secured control over its sovereign territories as a result of anti-terrorism measures in Karabakh, there are real chances to agree on a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia as soon as possible.
Within the framework of Azerbaijani legislation, all opportunities have been created for the Armenian residents of Karabakh to live in the country as Azerbaijani citizens. They can register for the reintegration process through a specially created portal.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on other issues of mutual interest.—06B-
