Joe Biden discussed with Ilham Aliyev the Karabakh settlement
On 20 May the US Vice President Joe Biden and the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed on the phone the Karabakh settlement. They discussed the dynamics of the successful development of Azerbaijan-US bilateral relations, the press service of the President of Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev recalled with satisfaction the meeting held with Joe Biden in Washington at the end of March this year. Ilham Aliyev and the US Vice President stressed the conduct of effective discussions during this meeting, highlighted the importance of the meetings held recently in Vienna at the initiative of the United States of America in the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of a speedy resolution of the conflict in accordance with the norms and principles of international law. During the conversation the sides exchanged views on the prospects of successfully developing the Azerbaijan-US relations. According to Armenian media, Biden also called Serge Sarkisyan.-06D-
