Joe Biden Officially Announces 2024 Reelection Campaign
Washington/25.04.23/Turan: U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday officially launched his campaign for re-election in 2024, becoming the Democratic front-runner in a race that could pit him for a second time against Donald Trump, TURAN's Washington correspondent reports.
Biden on Monday signaled his intention to rerun when asked by a group of reporters, including TURAN's correspondent, at the Rose Garden.
“I told you I’m planning on running. I’ll let you know real soon,” he said.
Biden published his official announcement in a video Tuesday morning.
“I said we are in a battle for the soul of America, and we still are,” Biden said in his campaign video. “The question we are facing is whether in the years ahead we have more freedom or less freedom, more rights or fewer.”
According to the White House officials, Biden will stress his economic agenda this afternoon, where he will “highlight his record as America’s most pro-union President... and why we must finish the job."
