Karaulov calls on Zelensky to capitulate because of the threat of total war that Putin is ready to declare
Baku/16.04.22/Turan: On April 16, the well-known pro-Kremlin publicist and journalist Andrei Karaulov appealed to the citizens of Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelensky, calling for capitulation in order to avoid multimillion-dollar human losses.
Karaulov said he was making his own assumption that President Putin would declare war on Ukraine in the near future, and possibly as early as Sunday, triggered by the recent shelling of Russian territory.
"I haven't talked to the generals of the General Staff and the Minister of Defense for a long time, and my assumptions are based on experience and intuition ... Putin will not stop, he has no other way," he said.
The publicist noted that it would be another war - with the total use of missiles, including “Yars”, “Bulava”, which would cause the death of millions, and possibly tens of millions of citizens of Ukraine, including Russians. He also stated that the task of using nuclear weapons against Ukraine is really on the agenda.
From his words it follows that the recognition of the Russian territory of Crimea and Donbass is a precondition for peace. To get out of this situation, Kiev must recognize Crimea as Russian territory, as well as come to terms with the loss of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions and even the part of Ukraine to the right of the River Dnepr. But on the other hand, in his opinion, most of Ukraine will remain independent.
"This will open the way for Ukraine to join NATO. After that, Ukraine's accession to NATO will ensure its security for a hundred years. Ukraine will not be able to join NATO with Russian military bases in Crimea," he said.
As a historical example of such surrender, Karaulov cited Japan, which capitulated when the Americans used two atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, thereby saving the country and the lives of millions of people. "Japan has lost four islands, but has become a leading world power," said Karaulov. -0-
