Zelensky believes that a peace treaty with Russia should consist of two documents
Baku/16.04.22/Turan: Official Kiev has not yet responded to the call to President Zelensky by Russian publicist Andrei Karaulov, who is close to the Kremlin, to surrender Ukraine.
However, before Karaulov's address, which he made on the afternoon of April 16, Zelensky said that a peace treaty with the Russian Federation could consist of two separate documents.
In an interview with Ukrainian online media, Zelensky said that a peace treaty with Russia could consist of two documents. One of them should relate to security guarantees for Ukraine, and the other directly to its relations with the Russian Federation. "I think it could be two different documents. Security guarantees from those who are ready for these security guarantees. And a separate document with Russia."
He noted that Moscow would like to have one agreement that would contain the solution of all issues. "However, everyone does not quite see themselves at the table with the Russian Federation. For them, security guarantees for Ukraine is one issue, and agreements with the Russian Federation are another issue."
"Russia wants everything to be in one document, and people say: sorry, they saw what happened in Bucha and Borodyanka, circumstances are changing," Zelensky said.
He noted that such countries as Great Britain, the USA, Italy and Turkey and others demonstrate their readiness to become guarantors of Ukraine's security.—0-
