Kazakhstan denies reports of arms supplies to Armenia
Baku/25.11.23/Turan: The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan has denied reports about the supply of military equipment by Kazakhstan to Armenia.
"The information disseminated about the alleged deliveries of Kazakh weapons to the Republic of Armenia does not correspond to reality.
Besides, a ban on the export of weapons and military equipment has been introduced in Kazakhstan since 2022. In this regard, we ask citizens and the media not to react to the rumors spread and to trust only official sources of information," the official message of the military department of Kazakhstan says.
Earlier, with reference to the Minister of Defense of Armenia Suren Papikyan, reports were circulated in the media about the signing of contracts for the supply of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) "Smerch", "Solntsepek" and "Naiza", as well as the Semser self-propelled artillery installation from Kazakhstan. At that, as stated, a contract is being prepared for the supply of MLRS TOS-1A.—06B-
