Kerry Calls Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia
US Secretary of State John Kerry held telephone conversations with the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan and discussed the settlement of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, said the State Department spokesman John Kirby.
"They discussed the need to talk to the parties (Armenia and Azerbaijan) to adhere strictly to the armistice in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and to start negotiations for a comprehensive settlement," Kirby said at a briefing.
Kerry also discussed the bilateral relations with the leaders of the two states, RIA Novosti reported. -06D--
