Latvia supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan
Baku / 17.07.17 / Turan: Latvia supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, said the president of this Baltic country Raimonds Vejonis today in Riga at a joint press conference with the head of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The Latvian President stressed that the Karabakh conflict can be resolved only peacefully on the basis of norms and principles of international law. He noted that the Joint Declaration on strategic partnership signed today and other agreements will positively influence the expansion of bilateral relations. According to Vejonis, Azerbaijan and Latvia have good conditions for the development of cooperation in the field of transport and in particular the development of the North-South corridor. Riga also maintains relations with Azerbaijan in the EU and in a new agreement between Baku and Brussels they will take on a more concrete form. Latvia also appreciates Azerbaijan's efforts in the development of the "Southern Gas Corridor" and the delivery of natural gas to European consumers.-06D--
