Lavrov's Talks with Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia
Baku / 15.11.20 / Turan: On November 15, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Armenia, the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
"The Ministers discussed the implementation of the Joint Statement of the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the Russian Federation of November 9 this year, including tasks related to the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and ensuring their effective fulfillment of their mandate."
Lavrov informed Bayramov and Mnatsakanyan in detail about the plans for the activities of the Interdepartmental Center for Humanitarian Response, created in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of November 13 this year.
The Foreign Ministers stressed the importance of establishing cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNESCO, the United Nations Development Program, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other multilateral organizations in the interests of alleviating the situation of civilians in the conflict zone and preserving religious and cultural sites, the statement said. -0-
