Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on the sidelines of the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Tehran on August 30, met with Iranian Oil Minister Rustam Ghasemi.
As the press service of the Foreign Ministry said, during the meeting they discussed prospects of the bilateral cooperation. Mammadyarov informed the Iranian minister that the arrest of young Azerbaijani poets Shahriyar Hajizadeh and Farid Hussein in Iran has negative impact on the bilateral relations. –0--

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
