Mammadyarov demands from Iran to provide access to detained Azerbaijani poets
Today the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister received the Ambassador of IRI to Azerbaijan, Mohammed Bahrami, in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, Mammadyarov said that the detention of two Azerbaijani young poets caused a serious public concern in the country. Despite the presentation by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry five notes to the Iranian side, the latter presented only short and incomplete answers.
Mammadyarov demanded the organization, in accordance with the Vienna Convention, meetings of the detained Azerbaijani poets with the Azerbaijani council.
He expressed a hope that the steps of the Iranian side on this issue will correspond to the spirit of mutual relations of friendship between the two countries, according to the press service of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.–06D--
