Margvelashvily wins the presidential elections in Georgia
Tbilisi/28.10.13/Turan-BSPRESS : The presidential candidate of the ruling coalition "Georgian Dream " George Margvelashvily is gaining 62.09 % in the elections ,
David Bakradze, from the " United National Movement " ( Saakashvili's party ) gains 21.09 % , said the CEC after the data from 91 % of the sites.
Nino Burjanadze, the party "Democratic Movement - United Georgia" is gaining 10.06%. According to the press speaker of the Central Election Commission of Georgia Eka Azarashvili at a press briefing on Monday, October 28, turnout was 46.6%, or 1,648,000 662.
The inauguration of the new president will take place on November 17.
Under the Constitution, the final results of the elections shall be announced within 20 days after the vote.
Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili will hold a press conference today where he could announce the name of his successor as head of government. He wants to retire from politics and engage in the development of the civil sector. -02D-
