Mass arrests of protesters before the CEC
Baku / 16.02.20 / Turan: Police began a mass detention of citizens arriving at the CEC building. Among the detainees are also candidates for deputies who arrived to receive answers to their complaints about fraud.
Police that blocked all approaches to the building began to detain and put everyone on buses in a row at about 15:00, using force.
Groups of candidates for deputies are chanting “Free elections!” and immediately become the "prey" of the police.
Several hundred people gathered in the CEC area and adjacent streets and people continue to arrive. Buses filled with protesters depart from the scene. -02B-
