Meeting of command personnel of Azerbaijani Army.
Baku/24.09.22/Turan: On Saturday, September 24, an official meeting of the command personnel of the Azerbaijani Army was held at the Central Command Post chaired by Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov, the press service of the Ministry reported.
Referring to the results of the fighting on September 12-14, 2022 on the border with Armenia, the Minister noted that "successful and coordinated response measures taken by units of various types of troops at night in several directions simultaneously in difficult mountainous terrain have become another innovation of the Azerbaijani Army introduced into military science."
The meeting analyzed the current operational situation in the Kelbajar and Lachin directions, as well as in the territories of temporary deployment of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
The Minister gave specific instructions on increasing the vigilance of the personnel, immediate and decisive suppression of any kind of provocations that may be committed by the armed forces of Armenia.
Also, Hasanov gave instructions to the relevant persons to complete the planned work on preparing for winter and delivering the necessary supplies to the units, especially those stationed in mountainous areas.—06D-

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
