Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of GUAM in Dublin
Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, GUAM, was held on Friday in Dublin. The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova had discussions this morning as part of the OSCE Ministerial Council, taking place on December 6-7, in the capital of Ireland.
The forum was also attended by Secretary General of GUAM Valery Chechelashvili. He told the reporters that during the meeting of the GUAM Council of Foreign Ministers the will discuss the interaction and cooperation of the countriesh. Ministers will review all of the working groups that are active in the organization, and identify areas for future cooperation, he said.
Among the topics discussed by the ministers were the draft resolution "Protracted conflicts in the GUAM area and their implications for international peace, security and development", which is planned to be submitted for discussion at the UN. The agenda of discussions included also the issue of the 2013 GUAM summit in Baku.
Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, GUAM, is a regional organization established in 1997 by Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova (Uzbekistan also was its member from 1999 to 2005.)—04С--
