Milli Majlis: Law on Occupied Territories Not Prepared
Press Service of the Azerbaijani Parliament has denied reports on the development of the draft law "On the occupied territories of Azerbaijan."
For information about this last week there were broadcast a number of pro-government media that even quoted the text of the bill.
In particular, the draft law provides criminal penalties for NGOs and other organizations as well as individual citizens of Azerbaijan (except for members of official delegations) for cooperation with Armenia "before the liberation of the occupied territories."
In addition, it prohibits the activity in Azerbaijan of foreign organizations and individuals who cooperate with the regime in Nagorno-Karabakh.
However, the press service of the Parliament denies the existence of such a bill. In the message MM says: "Press Service of the Azerbaijani Parliament states that the reports of the preparation of such a bill in Parliament are not true. None of the parliamentary committee discussed or intended discussion of this bill." -06D-
