Milli Majlis rejected his decision to withdraw from the Euronest
On September 30, the first day of the autumn session of the Milli Majlis, MPs decided to resume relations with the European Parliament, interrupted on the initiative of the Azerbaijani side a year ago. The adopted in this regard the decision of the Parliament recalls that relations were suspended after 10 September, 2015 the European Parliament adopted the "unfair and biased resolution" against Azerbaijan. The resolution implies the adoption of sanctions against the government of Azerbaijan for human rights violations in the country and demanded the release of all political prisoners. Therefore, on September 14 of the same year the Milli Majlis decided to terminate the membership of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. In April 2016 the European Parliament sent a delegation to the Euronest PA Azerbaijan for the resumption of dialogue between the Milli Mejlis and the European Parliament. Following the visit and negotiations, it adopted a joint statement, which expressed the need for the resumption of cooperation.
Thus, the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov, who is also the co-chairman of the committee on inter-parliamentary cooperation with the European Union, issued a statement along with the co-chairman from the EU Sajjad Karim. The statement said: "The delegation of the European Parliament regrets that there was no a dialogue in the past year between the European Parliament and Azerbaijan. Both sides hope to restore a normal dialogue and are ready to promptly assist the participation of Milli Majlis in Euronest. "Seyidov and Karim also called on the Euronest to review procedures to facilitate the participation of Milli Majlis in its work. In turn, the European Parliament members of the delegation said that they expect the official signal expected from Baku's wish to participate in EURONEST until October 6, when Azerbaijan's decision to abandon the Euronest will come into force. The delegation of six MEPs, headed by Sajjad Karim was adopted on 20 September in Baku President Ilham Aliyev, who hit them with harsh accusations. -02D-

On October 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold separate bilateral meetings with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan before the start of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, Yuri Ushakov, an assistant to the Russian president, as reported by the media. According to him, a trilateral meeting has not been scheduled at this time.

From September 30 to October 6, a total of 73 anti-tank mines, 159 anti-personnel mines, and 415 pieces of unexploded ordnance (UXO) were reported by the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA). According to the agency, an area of 2,945.1 hectares was cleared of mines during the previous week.
