Ministry of Foreign Affairs Explains Karabakh Situation to OSCE Ambassadors
On April 4 the Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov received ambassadors of the OSCE participating states accredited in Baku in connection with the current situation in the zone of the Karabakh conflict.
Noting the importance of the ceasefire for a peaceful settlement, Azimov noted that the Armenian side regularly violated the ceasefire, trying to divert attention away from the peace process and prolong the status quo.
The Deputy Minister pointed out that, as a rule, this kind of Armenian provocations occurs during the positive dynamics in the negotiation process.
Azimov noted the importance of an early resumption of the ceasefire and effective negotiation process. He recalled the unilateral declaration of ceasefire by Azerbaijan and stressed the possibility of resolving the conflict only within the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. This was stated in the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan. -02D-
