Mubariz Gurbanly is appointed head of the State Committee for Religious Structures
President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the appointment Mubariz Gurbanly new head of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations. Gurbanly is deputy executive secretary of the ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan", as well as a member of the Board and the Political Council. He is also a member of the Milli Majlis of the first, second and third convocations. In November 2010, he was re-elected to parliament. He is a member of the parliamentary committee on legal policy and state building. -16D04-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. During the mentioned period, the police found 1 machine gun, 50 grenades, 7 fuses, 3 shells and 320 cartridges of different calibre in Shusha.

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
