"Musavat" condemned the verdict Giyas Ibrahimov
The party "Musavat" strongly condemned the sentence of imprisonment for a term of 10 years, the young activist Giyasov Ibrahimov. This was announced at a meeting of the party on 31 October.
The party believes that charges against Ibrahimov charges of drug trafficking and far-fetched, and claims that the real reason for his prosecution for writing slogans on the monument to Heydar Aliyev. "Musavat" considers that the sentence against Ibrahimov harsh as a continuation of the repressive policies of the authorities against the youth activists.
The head of the party Arif Hajili also informed about the results of his visit to Germany, where on October 22 took part in the founding conference of Musavat focal point, living in Europe.
"Musavat" has also condemned the adoption of amendments by the Parliament to the Law "On mass media", which give security forces to restrict media activity in areas of special operations against religious extremists. -06D—

Armenia is not against the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, but does not consider it appropriate to discuss this issue now. On August 31, Azerbaijan observes a "day of silence" before the Sunday’s early parliamentary elections for the unicameral Milli Majlis. On August 30, at approximately 22:55, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant in Metsamor was disconnected from the country's power grid, as reported by the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure. The shutdown was caused by a lightning strike, which triggered the plant's safety systems to switch the station to a safe shutdown mode. Currently, the plant's staff is working on restarting the facility.
