"Musavat": do not shift the blame on others
"Musavat" party considers spontaneous protests in the country reasonable and fair, caused by a rise in price. According to the statement of the party, the authorities' attempts to find a "hand" of the opposition in these protests are groundless. "The protests is the result of two devaluations, lack of social protection and the impoverishment of the population." Attempts to blame the opposition for these actions and in particular the arrests of two opposition figures in Lankaran, it is an attempt of the authorities "to shift the blame on others."
"The population is protesting against the rise in price of food and basic necessities, and demands to solve these problems. Instead, the authorities began the repression against its own citizens, " reads the statement.
"Attempts to accuse party" Musavat " of the organization of protests is blackmail and repression. We demand the immediate release of the arrested opposition leaders and punish the guilty for their illegal arrest," reads the statement. -05D-

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan rejected Ilham Aliyev's demands for Yerevan to stop acquiring weapons. "Armenia has acquired and will continue to acquire weapons solely for the purpose of self-defense. Over 200 square kilometers of our sovereign territory is under the control of Azerbaijan. And even to regain these territories, we do not intend to consider military action, but rather a process of demarcation. So, we are buying weapons and have no intention of sending them back," he stated.
