Musavat Party Leader Meets US Ambassador
Baku / 13.01.20 / Turan: The head of the Musavat party Arif Hajili met today with the US ambassador to Azerbaijan, Li Litsenberger.
According to the press service of the Musavat party, the political situation in Azerbaijan, recent events in the region and early parliamentary elections scheduled for February 9 were discussed at the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by the deputy head of Musavat, Sahavat Soltanly, as well as the head of the policy department of the US Embassy. —0—

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
